Toyota Camry Brake System Sourcing Guide (2015–2024)
Every brake component, every trim, every year — what to order and how to spec it.
The Toyota Camry is the highest-volume mid-size sedan in North American history. That makes Camry brake parts one of the most-imported aftermarket categories from China. Here's the complete sourcing reference for the 2015-2024 model years.
Generation timeline
Camry brake systems changed meaningfully across two generations:
- XV50 (2015-2017) — final years of 7th generation. Conservative brake spec.
- XV70 (2018-2024) — current 8th generation, TNGA-K platform. New caliper architecture, larger rotors on some trims, hybrid integration changes.
Front brake pads — the most-asked SKU
2015-2017 (XV50, all gas trims):
- OEM: 04465-33450 (LE, SE, XLE) or 04465-06150 (V6 / XSE)
- Friction: ceramic, low-dust
- Position: front
- Pad shape: typical L-shape with chamfered leading edge
- OEM: 04465-0E060 (gasoline 2.5L, all 4-cyl trims)
- OEM: 04465-33480 (hybrid trims — Camry Hybrid LE/SE/XLE)
- OEM: 04465-06200 (V6 / XSE V6 — uses larger 6-piston caliper)
- Cross-references in aftermarket: ACT2179, D1818-8830, MKD1818
Rear brake pads
2015-2017:
- OEM: 04466-06090 (most trims)
- Friction: low-metallic NAO
- OEM: 04466-33160 (4-cylinder)
- OEM: 04466-06090 (V6, carryover from previous gen)
Front rotors / discs
2015-2017:
- 4-cyl: 296mm vented, OEM 43512-06150
- V6: 305mm vented, OEM 43512-33150
- 4-cyl LE/SE/XLE: 296mm vented, OEM 43512-06150 (carryover)
- 4-cyl XSE / V6 XSE: 305mm vented, OEM 43512-33150
- Hybrid LE/SE: 296mm vented, slightly different hub interface, OEM 43512-33170
Rear rotors
2015-2017: 281mm solid, OEM 42431-06180 2018-2024: 281mm solid (most), OEM 42431-06180 (carryover) 2018-2024 V6 XSE: 290mm vented, OEM 42431-33060
Calipers
This is where supply gets thinner because remanufactured calipers from China require core management.
Front calipers (2018-2024 4-cyl):
- Driver side: 47750-06340
- Passenger side: 47730-06340
- Reman pricing FOB: $35-50 each
- New (rare): $80-110 each
- 6-piston Brembo-style
- Reman: $90-130 each
- Most importers source these from one specific factory in Zhejiang
Brake hoses
2015-2017 front hose:
- OEM: 90947-A2057 (LH and RH symmetric)
- Length 350mm, M10x1.0 banjo bolt fitting
- OEM: 90947-A2096 (LH) / 90947-A2095 (RH)
- DOT compliance check before ordering for US
ABS sensors
ABS wheel speed sensors are tightly model-specific:
Front, all years: 89542-06080 (driver), 89543-06080 (passenger) Rear, all years: 89545-06080 (driver), 89546-06080 (passenger)
ABS sensors fail electrical compatibility checks if sourced cheaply. Spend on this category — it's not where to optimize for cost.
Master cylinder
2015-2017: 47028-06170 (with conventional brake assist) 2018-2024: 47028-06200 (different spec for active brake assist)

Add 25-40% for premium ceramic compounds vs. standard ceramic.
Common sourcing mistakes specific to Camry
- Mixing 2017 and 2018 pads — generation change, different OEMs. Looks similar, doesn't fit cleanly.
- Buying "Camry pads" without specifying gas vs. hybrid — friction compound matters for regen brake integration.
- Confusing XSE V6 with XSE 4-cyl — different caliper architecture, different rotor diameter.
- Sourcing reman calipers without core return logistics — eats your margin if not negotiated upfront.
Documentation for US import
- HS code 8708.30.50 for pads/rotors
- HS code 8708.40.75 for calipers
- HS code 8708.30.50 also covers brake hoses
- DOT compliance documentation (especially hoses)
- ECE R90 not required for US, but useful for resale into Mexico
Volume realities
Camry parts move in serious volume. Plan for:
- Front pads: 500-1000 sets is a normal first order
- Rear pads: 250-500 sets
- Front rotors: 200-500 sets (heavy, ship by sea always)
- Rear rotors: 100-300 sets
Bottom line
Camry is the best vehicle to learn aftermarket sourcing on. High volume, well-documented OEMs, mature supplier base, predictable demand. Get this right and you've built the playbook for Civic, Accord, Corolla, and Altima — all use similar patterns.
